Since their inception in 1986, Web has consistently pursued the creation of sacred sounds, embarking on a journey that few have dared to follow. Throughout the 1990s, despite numerous lineup changes, the band released two emblematic tapes - "Evil Tape" (1994) and "Promo Tape" (1995) - setting a high standard for the new millennium. The charismatic presence of David Duarte (RIP 2001) solidified Web's distinct sound with their first album, "World Wild Web," released in 2005.

Web has woven a dense web in the underground music scene, marked by a unique signature that has earned respect and a devoted following. As they approach the release of their fourth full-length album, Web has become a reference point in the music scene, celebrated for their extensive live performances and successful albums "Deviance" (2011) and "Everything Ends" (2015).

"Burden of Destiny" represents a significant shift, offering a more aggressive musical stance than its predecessors. With a focus on showcasing the band's Thrash elements, Web elevates their musicality to a new level. While maintaining their Doom and Progressive structures, "Burden of Destiny" is a complete album that retains the band's aesthetic essence, which is a defining characteristic.

Driven by the injustice and gratuitous violence of our world, Web aims to raise awareness and condemn these issues through their lyrics, making it the focal theme of this album. The cover art and overall artwork are inspired by one of the "stages" where such oppression, suffering, and irrational hatred have been inflicted without remorse, reflecting the album's core theme.
