Iselder is a one man black metal band from Wales, formed in 2014 by sole member Gofid. The band focuses on the subject matter of what it means to be Welsh, trying to promote the language, heritage, folklore, and culture of Gofid's beloved homeland.
On September 15th 2021, Gofid was arrested on suspicion of inciting arson and criminal damage due to a t-shirt he had made. The t-shirt in question was a parody of the infamous "Burn Your Local Church" shirts, instead featuring the text "Burn Your Local Holiday Home" and an image of a burning cottage. As a result, Gofid has his phone and PC seized, along with all merch items relating to Iselder. The band's second album "Metel Du Gwir Cymreig" was therefore delayed until all charges were dropped several months later.
Now Gofid is pleased to announce his fourth album titled "Gogoniant". This album blends together aggression and brooding melodies whilst tackling the subject of Welsh oppression. This album blends together styles from previous efforts whilst bringing forward something new for fans and new listeners alike to enjoy.
