[promo] Funeral Director - "The Chapel of Horror" (30th Anniversary Edition)

Funeral Director marks the 30th anniversary of "The Chapel of Horror", an album often described as "a dying groan in a rotten basement crypt beneath a cemetery".

Funeral Director set out to merge the raw intensities of black metal and death metal. After an initial demo and a well-regarded EP, the band retreated to a moldy basement and, within a week, created "The Chapel of Horror."

Described as sounding "like a dying groan in a rotten basement crypt beneath a cemetery," this album captures a dark and foggy atmosphere that perfectly conveys the intended grim energy. Although the drums may not be as prominent as initially desired, the final mix offers a haunting and decayed ambiance, aligning with the album's overall aesthetic.
