The title alludes to both the band’s quarter-century milestone and the number of albums released. The subtitle, Of Tales And Tragedies, reflects the band’s journey and the experiences they have encountered along the way. The album features the band’s signature old-school melodic death metal sound with a refined and expanded approach, incorporating elements ranging from doomy passages to intense blast sections. Recorded and mixed at the Big Easy Studio in Hennef by Michael "Freio" Haas, and mastered by Dan Swanö, the album delivers a polished yet powerful sound.
For the first time in their history, Battlesword maintained a consistent line-up throughout the production of this album, which allowed them to reflect on their history and pay homage to themselves with tracks like Brethren Of The Sword. This consistency and reflection are key themes across the album, creating a cohesive and memorable listening experience.
