"From an Empire to a Fall," the latest single by Arion, was released on November 1, 2024, via Ranka Kustannus. Written by guitarist Iivo Kaipainen, the song was one of the first created for the upcoming album. Since their debut in 2014 with 'Last of Us,' Arion has been among Finland's leading new-wave metal acts. Over the years, they've had the opportunity to tour with some of metal's biggest names, including Dream Theater, Gloryhammer, Battle Beast, Bloodbound, and Sonata Arctica across Europe and Japan. Their last two albums, 'Life Is Not Beautiful' (2018) and 'Vultures Die Alone' (2021), saw them collaborating with well-known metal vocalists like Elize Ryd (Amaranthe) and Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast). The song 'At the Break of Dawn' with Elize Ryd became a hit, with nearly 20 million streams.
"From an Empire to a Fall" continues the momentum built by their previous singles 'Wildfire' and 'Wings of Twilight,' the latter featuring Melissa Bonny (Ad Infinitum, Kamelot), which became a favorite on Finland's biggest rock radio channel.
