Infernal Cult, originally founded as a solo project by Martjern in Prague, is preparing to release its latest album, Necessity of Unreal, on October 20, 2024. The new track, "Breaking the Patterns Carving New Stones", offers a glimpse into the evolved sound and concept of the upcoming album.

The project began in 2015 with the demo Last Hope and has since produced several EPs and singles, including In the Night of Snowfall, Cold Mortem, and the well-received Son of Babalon. In 2018, Infernal Cult reached a pivotal moment with the release of its debut full-length album, All the Lights Faded, which gained attention throughout Europe. By 2019, Martjern had assembled a full lineup, bringing Infernal Cult’s intense sound to live audiences.

Lyrically and conceptually, Infernal Cult delves into themes of pain, suffering, guilt, doubt, and the struggles of mental health. The music explores the idea that suffering can lead to spiritual enlightenment, presenting a journey of internal battles and self-discovery. The new album, Necessity of Unreal, reflects the need for personal transformation and spiritual renewal. It speaks to the emotional turmoil of straying from one’s true path, and musically, it represents a significant step forward for the project.
