[news] Carducci Bros' Self-Titled Album Drops This Friday!
The Carducci Bros album marks a collaborative effort between brothers Mark and Joe Carducci, Mike Watt, and Jerry Trebotic. The project was set in motion when Watt stumbled upon an old recording from Mark’s high school rock band, Midknight. The album blends Mark’s reverb-drenched guitar work with Joe’s spoken word lyrics, including contributions penned by the late Spot, the legendary SST Records producer/engineer who passed away during the making of the record.
This release features a tight rhythm section and a sound that reflects the unique spirit of the SST scene, a creative force that has been both vital and influential for decades. The self-titled album will be available on October 25th on LP, CD, and digital formats.
The cover art features a painting by the late Joseph F. Carducci, the brothers’ uncle, whose artwork also graces the covers of Joe’s books Life Against Dementia and Rock and the Pop Narcotic.
